No one I have read about had problems with Honda's dct stuff worth mentioning.. So now worries there.. Ps. Unfortunately I have only ridden the 2017 DCT for a short while on marble like gravel & did find that it is a lot easier without needing to worry about which gear you are in.. Mostly rode it in sport mode with gravel mode engaged.
5w40 will run better than 10w40 in the cold and is has equal performance there after. I've been using it in my goldwings for years and is going in my AT DCT next (2nd) oil change. I hear ya. Been using the 5W40 T6 for a few years now and have been very happy with its behaviour in standard Honda engines.
Jun 16, 2019. #5. Some benefits of a left hand rear brake lever on a DCT Bike.. A) Remove rear foot lever so it can't get smashed off, or bent, or catch twigs and crap. B) Keep both feet planted on pegs with no involvement over brake controls. Ideal for MX Boots and rough ground. C) Much better control of DCT power delivery over technical
So, the Honda Dealership where I purchased the new 2019 Africa Twin contacts me this morning. I explained the issues I was having with my motorcycle. He informed me to take it to the local Honda Dealership because Honda stands behind their products. I sent him pictures explaining I believe they installed my wheel backwards.
2 posts · Joined 2016. #31 · Nov 16, 2016. So the dealer has had by AT for a day. They checked the spark plug gaps, the ignition coil wiring and the MAP sensor hose for kinks. Once these have been ruled out as causing problems, then Honda will authorise a replacement starter / kill switch. This will be done next week.
